Manufacturing Tours in Partnership with MFG: San Jose

From October 11-25, 2022, 239 students from Independence, Piedmont Hills, Yerba Buena, and Overfelt High Schools had the opportunity to visit four different manufacturing companies, due to a partnership with a non-profit organization Manufacture: San Jose. The participating companies were Bestronics, Vander-Bend, GAF Energy, and Nevarez Machining. The students toured the manufacturing facilities, observed how new technologies were being used in manufacturing production, and connected their classroom learning directly to the jobs and skills needed by the employers.
